Fuel Rewards Scheme Launched (ahead of Gloucetershire Motor Show) Raise Money Every Time You Fill Up at Gardner Garages in the county!

As patron of the Gloucestershire children's charity, Phil Vickery MBE is lending a helping hand to launch the Texaco Star Rewards scheme, an initiative supported by Gardner Garages in Gloucester and Cheltenham.

This innovative scheme works like other retail loyalty points schemes whereby for every litre of quality Texaco fuel served, the garage will donate 1p directly to the Pied Piper Appeal charity - a county based charity helping sick and disabled children.

It's a great way for motorists to do their bit for charity whilst filling up and an easy way to raise monies as a result of buying fuel from the three Gardner Garages located at Westgate Bridge Gloucester, Cheltenham Lansdown Road and the General Garage on the main A40 road at Huntley.

"We have already piloted the scheme and it is proving very popular. It's a simple way for the motorist to support the Pied Piper Appeal with no hassle or direct cost to them and in turn help raise thousands of pounds a year through our scheme. In the short time we have been trialing it on the forecourt we have already raised over a £1000 from the Star Rewards scheme for the Appeal. The loyalty cards can be used on any of the 800 Texaco branded forecourts in the UK, and any monies raised will go directly to the Pied Piper," said Clive Gardner, chairman Gardner Garages. "We are exhibiting at the Gloucestershire Motor Show this weekend and will be on hand to talk to visitors about the 'points for Pied Piper' fuel scheme."

This launch comes in the lead up to the county's popular Motor Show this Saturday and Sunday at Highnam Court. Phil Vickery will be entertaining the crowds with a cooking demonstration (1:30-2:30 each day, the Best of the British BBQ) and staff from Gardner Garages will be there allowing visitors to sign up to the fuel reward scheme in the beautiful grounds of Highnam Court.
